The first edition
Cinéma Fungi brings together documentaries, experimental works, animation and independent creations exploring the place of fungi in our environments, practices and imaginations.
During the festival, the screenings bring together perspectives from different disciplines, countries and sensibilities.
Each screening is an invitation to look differently at what often grows outside the frame.

transform the way we see.
The program
The program welcomes documentaries, fiction, animation, essays, experimental works and visual research.
Films are selected for their artistic or documentary quality, their relevance to the festival and their ability to engage a broad audience.
After the screening
Encounters
Depending on the films and guest availability, some screenings will include an introduction or be followed by a conversation.
Directors, artists, researchers and people connected to the films can continue the experience with the audience, discuss a shoot or shed light on a particular context.
2027 edition
Open call for films
Geneva Fungi Fest invites directors, artists, documentary filmmakers, students, collectives and independent creators to submit a work related to the fungal world.
Submission requirements, accepted formats and technical information are provided in the form. No video file is required: a viewing link is enough.
